This was a small wall in a music room of a private house. They wanted to incorporate all the instruments they could play as well as being inspiring to write new music and to listen to music. It took three entire days (spread out over two weeks) to complete but the client was extremely happy with the finished piece.
This leads me to my usual domain of music being closely entwined with art. They both incorporate creativity. Without this, I believe joy simply would not exist. Humanity would be pointless.
Art is the exercise and materialization of emotion. To hide it, or not to use it at all, to be completely emotionless, would be completely pointless.
What separates us from everything else is the ability to feel, and to shun that would render this life null and void. To cast away art and music, or any subjective experience, is to cast away the human experience.
This is why the two subjects are so closely entwined. Consider synesthesia. Franz Liszt, Pharrell Williams, Eugen Bleuler, Richard Feynman…
